Flashback Friday 🥇 I was just 10 years old, standing there with my very first 1st place medal 🙌

I still remember that feeling like it was yesterday - pure happiness, excitement, and pride. My first competition, my first time coming 1st ✨️ and my first real taste of what hard work could give back.

In that moment, something clicked. I knew this was what I wanted to do. There was nothing else in the world that mattered to me more than training, learning, and pushing myself. That medal wasn’t just a win - it was a direction 🔝

Martial arts taught me discipline early. Discipline wasn’t about motivation 🚫 it was about commitment, even on the days I didn’t feel like it.

Now, years later, that same discipline carries me through training, teaching, and fighting Muay Thai 🥊🔥 From student to practitioner and coach, the mindset stays the same: stay humble, stay hungry, and never stop sharpening the craft 💯

That 10-year-old kid had no idea how far the journey would go - only that the path felt right ✊️

Don’t stay stuck throwing the same shots at one height. Mix head, body, and leg attacks to build flow, balance, and realistic fight movement. Variety keeps your training sharp, and your offence becomes dangerous 💥

2. Optimize your breath work.
Control your breathing with every strike by exhaling sharply on impact. Good breath work keeps you relaxed, powerful, and able to maintain output round after round 😤

3. Focus on good technique.
Power means nothing without proper form and good timing. Clean technique builds efficiency, prevents bad habits, and creates real speed and power over time 🔥

1️⃣ Step & Kick:
Step out to create a 45° angle, then throw the kick. After impact, step back the same way you came to stay balanced and safe from counters. Clean, efficient, and high-percentage ✅

2️⃣ No-Step (On the Spot):
Pivot hard on the ball of the supporting foot and stay light. You gain speed and surprise, but the trade-off is you’re more vulnerable to sweeps ⚖️

3️⃣ Jump Off the Front Foot:
Load your weight on the front foot, jump off it, and land back on the same supporting foot. Perfect for long range when you need to close distance fast 🚀

4️⃣ Jump Off the Back Foot:
Start with your weight on the rear foot and explode forward. This is the go-to for maximum power, especially when you’re aiming to damage with low kicks 💥

5️⃣ Telegraph ❌ (Avoid This):
A lot of people do this on bags and pads - a little jump before the kick. It gives away timing and gets you countered. Avoid this at all costs ⚠️

My last Muay Thai fight in Thailand taught me that 🇹🇭 I landed the KO, but ended up hurting my own knee worse than anything I did to my opponent.
That injury changed everything, and honestly… it ended up being perfect timing.

During Covid 19 it forced me to slow down, heal, and appreciate the beauty around me 🌴✨

Remember: A setback can be the exact moment that redirects you toward something better. Trust it, and embrace it.
